Please read this notice before using onlinelegalhelp.org. Your use of this website confirms that you have read and accepted it.

1. We are not a law firm

OnlineLegalHelp.org is published by Swapraxis LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India. Swapraxis LLP is not a law firm, is not an advocate’s chamber, and does not practise law. It is not entitled to and does not act, appear or plead before any court or tribunal.

2. No solicitation and no advertisement

This website is an information resource. It does not advertise, promote, recommend, rank, rate or endorse any advocate, law firm or legal practitioner, and it carries no advocate’s name, photograph, profile, credentials or record.

There has been no advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, invitation or inducement of any kind from Swapraxis LLP or from any person associated with it inviting you to use this website or to engage any legal practitioner. You have reached this website of your own accord and for your own information.

3. Nothing here is legal advice

The material published on this website is general legal information. It is not legal advice and must not be relied upon as legal advice. It does not take account of the facts of your matter, the record before the court, or any order already passed in your case.

Reading this website does not create an advocate-client relationship between you and Swapraxis LLP, or between you and any person associated with it. No such relationship can arise, because Swapraxis LLP is not an advocate.

If you have a live legal problem, consult an advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council. Do so promptly. Many legal remedies are subject to limitation periods, and a right can be lost by delay alone.

4. Accuracy and currency

Indian law changes. Statutes are amended, rules are notified and superseded, and courts revise their view. The criminal law in particular has undergone wholesale replacement, and the position stated in an article may have moved after the date it was published.

We publish in good faith and anchor our content to named statutes, rules and reported judgments so you can check the source yourself. We do not warrant that any page is complete, current or applicable to your facts. Where a page states a time limit, a fee, a pecuniary threshold or a procedural step, verify it against the statute, the rules of the relevant forum, or an advocate before you act on it.

5. No outcome is promised

Nothing on this website is a prediction, assurance or guarantee about the outcome of any application, petition, appeal or proceeding. No content should be read as suggesting that any particular result is likely, usual or achievable.

6. Enquiries

If you send us an enquiry through the website form, by email or over WhatsApp, we will read it and respond with general information or with an indication of where the matter would ordinarily be taken up. Sending an enquiry does not engage us to act, does not engage any advocate to act, and does not stop time running on any limitation period.

Do not send us confidential, privileged or sensitive material. Communications with us are not protected by professional privilege, because we are not advocates. See our Confidentiality & Data Handling Statement.

7. Language

Content is published primarily in Hindi, with English where the source material is in English. Where a Hindi page and an English page differ, both are informational and neither is authoritative; the statute or judgment cited is the authority.

8. Third-party material

Links to statutes, cause lists, government portals, judgments and tribunal websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

9. Regulatory framework we operate under

We conduct this website consistently with the prohibition on solicitation and advertising in Rule 36, Chapter II, Part VI of the Bar Council of India Rules, the Advocates Act, 1961, and the Bar Council of India’s directions on online legal-services platforms. If you believe any page on this website falls short of that standard, write to us at contact@onlinelegalhelp.org and we will review it.
